![]() ![]() I want to play a Frostling Theocrat character who religiously wants to turn the world into an arctic planet and crush all opposition plus purge every other race but the Frostlings.but the Frostling Evangelist not having a ranged attack is making me wonder if I really want to do it.Īlso, it's kind of weird that the Arctic Empire spell is under Adept of Air, not water, meaning that having the Arctic Empire spell and the Frost Elemental are mutually exclusive. ![]() What does the Frostling Evangelist get by the way? Racial versions of units always tend to be different and sometimes more or less annoying, like Orc berserkers being stronger by far with War Cry. Not to mention making them look much nicer.) Makes sense. So you can actually recognise whether that is an Orc Berserker or a Human Berserker you're looking at. Or I could pick Halflings and get monster hunters that shoot fireworks. Or I could play Dwarfs and get Phalanxes with defensive strike and Monster hunters with heavy crossbows. Or I could play Tigran and get pouncing berserkers and manticore riders. My Manticore riders will also get a stunning attack. But if I play Elf, I will get mounted archers with longbows, which are amazing units. My Manticore riders will get war-cry AND guard breaker. If I play an Orc, my Berserkers will get war-cry and hit like a truck. ![]() There are a lot of interesting combinations. I think this is one of the fun parts of the game actually, when deciding what you want to play next. As Gladen mentioned, they often get special abilities based on race. I do believe that the ranged attacks elevate the evangelist from "only good if you want to spam convert" to "all around great support unit that can also convert."īut that's the case for plenty of class units: some races' versions are simply better than others. ![]()
